Understanding Dramatherapy ...

Drama and movement therapy uses the therapeutic aspects of drama and movement to support the individuals to reflect and transform their life experiences. The process is not working towards staging a performance, but to enable them to express and work through their problems that they are encountering or to maintain the individual’s well-being and health.

Its aim is using the arts to promote psychological healing and growth within a confidential and therapeutic space, so that the individual can:

  • Be creative and imaginative
  • Build resilience to cope with the challenges of the individual’s situation or experience in life
  • Explore either verbally or non-verbally through play so to meet the individual’s needs

 

 

Dramatherapy provides the tool to facilitate the search for meaning:

  •         Examine how to communicate using drama, movement and other forms of creatives
  •         Explore how meaning can be achieved through symbols
  •         Raise awareness of the self
  •         Empower the self through developing strategies to cope with challenging feelings/situations
  •         Establish trusting relationship so to promote interaction between person to person; and/or person to group; and/or person to environment
  •         Acknowledge a “sense of transcendence” in the non-verbal communication
  •         Provide containment to engage in spontaneous playfulness

戏剧治疗是借助心理活动并专注地运用戏剧与律动历程来进行心灵治疗。帮助人们认识从而摒弃无效的应对方式以达到整合良好情绪促进个人成长,这疗法着重于体验过程而非演出为根基。体验创意戏剧形式为帮助他人展露亮点促使自己发掘潜在的天赋、才能及优势。
